General
legal entity name is a state of organization entity type, for example limited liability company with its main office at mailing address. It does business as Oinkbound and operates consumer websites under brand names including Pick Health Advisor. In these disclosures, "Oinkbound," "we" and "us" mean that company and its brands, and "you" means anyone who uses our websites or services, as defined in our Terms of Use.
Oinkbound is a marketing lead generator. We connect people who ask about health coverage with licensed insurance agents, and agents pay us for each request we deliver. Oinkbound is not an insurance company, insurance agency or insurance agent. We do not sell, solicit or negotiate insurance, quote premiums, bind coverage, take applications, or decide whether anyone qualifies for a plan, price, subsidy or government program. Those steps are taken only by a licensed insurance agent, an insurance company, or a government agency.
Not Your Agent
Oinkbound does not act as your agent or as the agent of any insurance company in any discussion of coverage. Use your own judgment, with the help of the licensed agent who contacts you, in choosing a plan. Each agent is an independent business and is solely responsible for the advice, products and services it provides to you. An agent who buys your request may keep it whether or not you buy anything from them, under their own privacy notice. If you no longer want to hear from an agent, tell the agent directly, and tell us too, so we can pass it on. See Do Not Call.
Fees
Oinkbound never charges you a fee. Licensed insurance agents pay us for each consumer request we deliver to them. What we are paid does not depend on which plan you choose or whether you buy one, and it is not added to your premium. If you buy a plan, the insurance company may pay the agent a commission, as is normal in insurance.
Requests Are Not Applications
A request you submit on one of our sites is not an application for insurance and does not create coverage. It is a request to be contacted by a licensed agent. To get coverage, you must complete an application with an insurance company or the Health Insurance Marketplace, usually with the agent's help, and coverage begins only when the insurer or Marketplace confirms it in writing.
Government Program Disclosures
Oinkbound and its brands are not run by, connected with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, HealthCare.gov, any state health insurance marketplace, Medicare or Medicaid. You can learn about and apply for Marketplace coverage, premium tax credits and Medicaid yourself, at no cost, at HealthCare.gov or your state's marketplace or Medicaid agency. Our consumer sites do not connect anyone with Medicare plans; if you have or are eligible for Medicare, visit Medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE.
UNDER OUR TERMS OF USE AND OUR CONSENT FOR ELECTRONIC DISCLOSURES AND COMMUNICATIONS, DISCLOSURES THAT FEDERAL OR STATE LAW REQUIRES US TO GIVE YOU ARE PROVIDED ELECTRONICALLY ON OUR WEBSITES. Attorney review
State Licenses
list each license held by Oinkbound as a business, by state, with license type and number. If Oinkbound holds none, say so plainly.
Attorney review: decide whether to list the individual insurance license held by Oinkbound's owner (Florida 2-15, health, life and variable annuity). The owner is licensed but not appointed with any insurer, so Oinkbound does not transact insurance; counsel should decide whether listing the license helps or suggests otherwise.
The licensed agents who contact you hold their own insurance licenses in your state. You can check any agent's license and National Producer Number at the National Insurance Producer Registry (nipr.com) or with your state's department of insurance. The agent's name, and where shown their National Producer Number, appear on the confirmation page after you submit a request.
State-Specific Disclosures
add any disclosure a particular state requires of a lead generator or telephone solicitor, for example a telemarketing registration number. ATTORNEY REVIEW: several states require telephone solicitor registration, often with exemptions for licensed agents.
